Thank you Nonna and Aunt Jess who came over today to allow “Anniversary Outing Take 2″ to happen.  Claire had some quality girl time today.  Nonna brought over her flashing light up tiara and Claire apparently LOVED it!

While Claire was at home developing her inner beauty queen, Josh and I headed out to paint some pottery!  We had a really fun time just being creative and not worrying about what other little fingers might be getting into.  We decided to paint mugs for each other.  We won’t have the finished products until next week (so the colors are much lighter and duller right now than they will be), but I took some shots just to show you what we were up to today!

Here are the processes…

And now the finished (but not fired) products…

It’s pretty clear to me that Josh and I have a career ahead of us in pottery.    What do you think?

Next time we’re painting a platter!  Stay tuned for the after pics next week.

When we got home, Josh grilled dinner for us.  Claire crawled over to the back door and started rustling with the blinds.  I went over to pull her away (thinking her motivation was to taste the blinds), but stopped when I saw this.  Claire was so interested in what he was doing, I had to take a picture and share it with you.

Going out on a fun date with my husband and returning home to our precious daughter…pretty good Saturday if you ask me.
