Milestone alert! Today Claire rolled over! It wasn’t a 360 degree roll, but we’ll take the 180 degrees of progress that was made here today! Today Claire was playing on her activity mat and reaching for her monkey when I noticed her pressing her face to the mat and furrowing her brow in concentration. Having seen this furrowed look before, at first I thought it might be a diaper. I soon realized there was more to this look of determination and concentration. She tucked her arm under and worked VERY HARD to roll herself over. Then she played happily on her tummy for a few seconds. When she started to get angry, I rolled her onto her back and she rolled back over again! It was so great that it happened twice so that Josh could see! It was great to have another witness to this amazing act of bravery and progress!
Speaking of concentration and determination, I completed some cookies that were very challenging for me! I saw them online and decided I was going to give them a try for a baby shower I was attending. There are lots of bobbles and mess-ups (so don’t look too closely), but I’m pretty proud of having done what I set out to do, especially since this was my first attempt at cookie decoration. And now that I know these are possible, I am really excited about the endless possibilities of future cookies!

The baby shower colors were pink and green, so pink and green stripes it was! Don't worry - the plate stayed home. (Although it is a super cute zoo animals paper plate which I highly recommend as fun and disposable dinnerware.)
Who knows what shapes/designs we’ll try next! I’m open to suggestions!
Big thanks to my sweet hubs for watching the wee babe while I spent hours bent over these babies.
