We were visited by my dad and my brothers this past weekend. They came from Corpus, Austin, and Georgia to meet the newest member of the family. It was a really precious time and we really enjoyed having everyone! My brothers (noted below as Uncle Conrad and Uncle Zach) could only stay for one night because of school/work. My dad got to stay for several days, which was really nice because it is a relief to have company when you spend your days with someone who doesn’t even know what words are yet and it is always fun to get to spend time with dad since he lives far away. He was also pretty helpful around the house and helped me catch up on some of the tasks that I had already fallen so behind on.
A quick note - the infant swing is an amazing creation. I had heard that some babies take to them and some don’t and had decided not to spend the money on one, but last weekend we decided that the swing was a necessity for Mommy’s sanity and it has been worth its weight in gold so far. The swing is the reason why I am able to make this post. The swing’s magic does eventually wear off, however, so I must end this post quickly and leave you with just a few quick pics of the weekend.
One last thing - to all of my sweet friends and family who I have been shamefully neglecting with slow responses to calls and emails (if I get to respond at all), I apologize! I still care about you and really do want to talk to you and I hope to get into a routine where I am not the negligent friend in the near future. One thing I can keep up on is prayer requests, so just know that if you email me or leave me a message requesting prayer, I will be praying for you (possibly while you get a good night’s sleep and I stay up with a crying baby)!

oh my goodness….baby girl claire is loving her milk……..her precious little face has filled out………goodness gracious……..she is just beautiful!!
