I can now check item #972 “Investigate what Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas looks like from inside the Labor & Delivery unit at 11:30PM on a Friday night” off of my list of things to do in my life (phew, I was really worried about that one).  Yes, it’s true - one day after a post about our babies sheer refusal to come, we find ourselves within 12-15 hours of delivery!

In case you’re keeping score at home, that’s now:

Undelivered Claire: 1

26 years post delivery Josh: 0

This is not looking good for me.

All kidding aside, things are going very well - our nurses are incredibly nice and helpful and have done a tremendous job of giving us as much information as we can handle about our situation (and our outlook).  Keep the prayers coming - there is nothing more powerful than knowing God is in control of this situation and the volume of happy, joyful, inquisitive phone calls we’ve had has really ensured that we take stock of our blessings in this time that immediately preceeds a huge NEW blessing.

Anna is doing well - as well as someone on a “water, ice and clear liquids” diet can do and I’ve done well since learning that I need to hide my eating of things NOT on the “water, ice and clear liquids” diet.  We’ll have a late, late night tonight as some observations should conclude and the doctors should make a decision on how to progress from here.

Either way, I’ll try and let you all know when we find out!

Thank you for all of your love, support, concern, care and everything else you have all offered up to us so unconditionally and freely.

-Josh
