It’s been a while since we’ve posted for several reasons: I don’t really like to post without pictures (I think the pictures make reading our comments bearable) and our card reader has been acting up, Thanksgiving pretty much took everything out of us, and I’m lazy.

Here’s the reason why there’s finally another post: The doctor recommended to me last week that last Friday be my last day at work due to the excessive swelling that has overtaken my body.  (The swelling is another reason why I haven’t exactly been jumping at the chance to post, since most pictures of me remind me of Miss Piggy at this point.)  So now I am confined to the house and forced to relax…which is tough to do when you are nesting.  I just have to remind myself that there is still time before Claire shows up, and if I don’t have everything perfectly ready life will go on.  Things are getting continually crazier through this holiday season, so it’s definitely nice to have a few minutes at home to relax before the real craziness starts.

If you are curious what I will be up to over the next few weeks when I don’t have my feet propped up… it’s LAUNDRY!  Apparently all those precious little baby items must be washed before they come in contact with baby.  Josh would also appreciate some clean clothing, I’m quite sure, so I guess I’ll do some grown-up laundry as well.

I mentioned at the top of the post that I think entries with pictures are much more fun, so I’ll share some of the pictures of Thanksgiving at our house from Mom’s camera.

Thanksgiving was a lot of food, a lot of fun, and a lot of work.  I love being with my family and would love to host again some time, but I am thankful that we won’t be hosting Christmas this year (especially since Claire could decide to make and early appearance.)

Hopefully we’ll get the card reader working again soon so we can post more pictures.  As always, you can check out our Flickr page for more of the Thanksgiving pictures or any of the other sets you haven’t looked through yet.
