My friend Kandace and her mom Lisa were so sweet to throw me a baby shower in Corpus this weekend. Everything was decorated shabby chic (like our baby bedding) and it was pretty adorable. They really did a lot of work to make it a really nice shower and to make me and baby Claire feel pretty special. It was also really nice to see the Shepard’s beautiful new home! Thank you so much for a really wonderful afternoon! These are some of my favorite things about the shower, and yes I know they are both food pictures, but they are so cute!
Kandace and Lisa also did the neatest thing with some of the baby gifts. Some of them had scripture attached and how to apply the scripture to raising Claire. It was pretty special. When I have more time and when I am a little more organized, I might post the scriptures and applications that they used for those of you who might be interested. It was really a precious thing.
My mom and I had such a great time catching up with everybody too. It’s been a while since I have been back to Corpus to visit so it was a really great time with good friends and with my family. It always feels like such a quick trip and I’m always sad to leave, but I really enjoy my time there.

This will be the last post we are able to make until at least the middle of this next week, since we are still waiting on internet service. Our house doesn’t exist yet to most vendors, so things are taking a little longer than anticipated. We have finally gotten our particular vendor to believe that we live at our address, so it shouldn’t be much longer now. At that point we’ll also hopefully be able to post more pictures of our move in to the new house!
